PIECES OF TARA ARTISTRY

I am a fluid artist from Wisconsin. I live a lovely life with my handsome husband and 2 pups. I have been “crafty” from very early on in life. I was a jewelry artist for about 15 years and honed my craft to the point of becoming jewelry silversmith. Just previous to COVID I was exposed to Fluid Art by my father. We tried it together one day and from then on I was hooked! I cleared out my jewelry studio and made room for the fluid art space. I studied this craft from great artists on YouTube, soaking in all the knowledge I could acquire. I have document my journey through my YouTube channel and have found that in the past 2 1/2 years I have grown exponentially as an artist and a teacher. I love teaching this art form. It has brought me much joy and satisfaction and I look forward to continuing this journey.

DAY 1 April 27th, 2023

BEGINNER BLOOM COASTERS

08:30 - 11:30AM

In this step by step class, using the Shelee Art Bloom Technique we will go through pillow paint, paint mixing of puddle paints (including pigments) and cell activators; as well as ratios for different pouring mediums; and how to blow the cell activator to create a beautiful bloom coaster set. We will be using our mouth to blow out the blooms on 4”x4” tiles (hairdryers will also be available if necessary). I will also show a brief demonstration on how to finish them with resin & you will receive Mixed Media Girl Resin and the cork to finish the backs at home. You will love this technique!

BLOOM BLOWOUTS

02:00 - 05:00PM

Using the Shelee Art Bloom Technique we will talk paint consistencies, paint to pouring medium ratios, cell activators and much more. We will build on our basic knowledge of blooms and learn how to use our hair dryer to blow out and/or deconstruct multiple blooms on a 10”x20” canvas and a 14” round canvas. My new personal favorite technique to play with!

DAY 2 April 28th, 2023

DUTCH BLOOM

08:30 - 11:30AM

In this class you will learn how to find the PERFECT CONSISTENCY for the Dutch Bloom. Because this technique is unique, a slightly thicker consistency is necessary. In this technique we will use a hairdryer to blow out the petal of the bloom and a spinner to enhance those petals into a beautiful flower bloom. We will discuss using various mediums : paint & water only; paint, floetrol & water and my (personal favorite) paint, floetrol & Golden GAC 800 to accomplish a beautiful bloom. We will use 2 different types of canvas in this class, a square and a circle canvas to give you experience with both. We will also discuss color theory, paint densities, canvas prep and LOADS more. You will not be disappointed with this technique.

PEARL POUR / DUTCH POUR COMBO CLASS

02:00 - 05:00PM

In this class you will kick up that Dutch Pour a notch by using the Pearl Cell Technique to frame a pearl cell background! We will go through briefly how to mix paint for the pearl cell technique, how to tilt to get the pearls where you would like them placed as well as how to place the Dutch Pour for the perfect composition.

DAY 3 April 29th, 2023

BEGINNER PEARL CELL TECHNIQUE

08:30 - 11:30AM

In this class you will learn how to find the PERFECT CONSISTENCY for the Pearl Cell Technique.
